English Georgian Style Mahogany Secretary Desk with Bookcase

  
A fine example of a one piece English Georgian style mahogany secretary desk with a scroll carved broken pediment crest with fretwork surmounting an upper bookcase with two glass doors, which opens to reveal two interior shelves, over a slant top desk opening to a leather tooled writing surface and compartmentalized interior and two small slides, over a lower case with four graduated drawers with brass ring pulls, all supported by four carved bracket feet. Dates to the 20th century. Very good overall condition, with some minor imperfections and expected surface wear from age and use.

Some small holes have been drilled in the back lower case, probably to secure it to a wall at one point. Dimensions: 89 h x 37 w x 18 ½ d. A local family business since 1983.
