18692 Mahogany Governor Winthrop Ball and Claw Secretary Desk

  

We are pleased to be offering today this original finish right out of the home ox bow four drawer ball and claw governor Winthrop desk that was made by the Maddox Furniture Company. It is a high quality piece. The desk has a breadboard writing lid that when opened reveals a multi-drawer cubby hole interior with a carved center drawer and two cleverly disguised storage area behind the carved posts. It is in pretty decent original condition showing minor wear here and there. There are minor nicks and dings here and there.

There is one brass bale missing, but we have some in stock and will replace it if reminded at the time of the sale. It is a great desk from the 1930s. The overall size is 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 42 inches high. It has ball and claw feet on all four legs. It is a good quality desk with plank sides.
