18th C Connecticut Federal Secretary E Chapin Cherry Open Fretwork Bonnet

  

Wonderful 18th century Federal Cherry secretary. It dates from appx 1790.

It is in very good condition with the original brasses. The secretary has only a couple of minor repairs including: a small piece of the fretwork on the bonnet repaired, minor repairs to 2 of the finials, center plinth reglued and the piece has been refinished. Measurements are as follows, height:88.5", width:37.5", depth: 22" and writing height: 34". I would be glad to answer any questions you may have on this piece.
