Antique 19th c Victorian Scribes Desk - desktop organizer secretary. This European piece is a estate piece bought in an antique shop in England many years ago. In-found condition, we have not done anything to this piece. Walnut Burl wood veneer and another wood that looks like mahogany. The chest measures 14 3/4 across the front. The back is tallest at 12 3/4. It is angled down with two doors that open (no key). It's chock full of little compartments. Bottom has a shallow draw. Top opens to hold a removable compartment - it has a name written on the bottom that was probably the owner at one time. Two glass ink wells with no caps. It has some slight dings not bad at all.

It could use a polishing. There is a slot of wood beside one of the ink wells that needs re gluing. One side at the bottom has a small piece of wood missing shown in the photos.
