This is an extremely fine palatial size antique mid 19th Century Eastlake Victorian butler's secretary desk, c1860s. Made from solid walnut and burl walnut veneers.
Being larger in scale than most with a carved pyramidal upper crest over an upper case of 2 chicken wired front doors opening to adjustable wooden shelves (2 shown but 4 present). Lower section having a single upper drawer opening to a desk with green felt surface. Birds eye maple framing with cubbies and small drawers. Desk drawer above to paneled cabinet doors opening to an interior shelf. Desk was restored approx 20 years ago and is in very fine condition.Some minor dings to edges and corners but nothing major or to be concerned about. Desk breaks down into many pieces for easy movement. Measurements: 49 inches wide X 23 inches deep X 100 1/2 inches high.
