Antique French Carved Oak Secretary Desk Bureau Drop Front Louis XV Style. A lovely antique French carved drop front secretary/desk with quintessential French style from top to bottom!

Carved oak French drop front or slant front has highly carved, serpentine, beveled, paneled top featuring classic carved French baskets, scrolls and foliate design. Top opens to reveal a fitted desk interior with four drawers, two cubbyholes, and a large writing area. The writing area is supported by two pullout oak staffs tipped with round button pulls.

Two full length drawers have carved serpentine paneled fronts, each drawer with Louis XV style carvings and dual brass drawer pulls. Serpentine, carved lower apron and carved French cabriole legs. Lovely oak finish & grain, well built by craftsmen of the period. Flat writing area, when opened, 32.5 x 18.
