Antique French Regence Revival Style Carved Slant-lid Writing Desk or Bureau Secretary. This listing is for an antique French Regence Revival-style carved walnut slant-lid escritoire writing desk or bureau - late 19.

The rectangular case of the desk is decorated with a foliate and urn relief-carved writing lid that open to a divided writing interior with pigeonholes and a small drawer. Below the writing desk is a single, long, deep, drawer with a relief-carved front façade that sits on tall cabriole legs with carved slipper foot in the front - the back legs are straight. The desk is about 38" tall x 30" wide x 15" deep at its widest depth (6" deep across the top).

When open the writing table lid is about 30 from the floor. The desk is in good condition with expected wear from use and age, particularly on the legs and toes. Carvings are complete and in great condition.
