Inside the desk are 2 small drawers, 2 small side cabinets, 5 vertical shelves, 2 ink wells. Stamped "GRUNBAUMS" and numbered "414" at the back.In excellent condition except for some minor chips on one leg of the seat (see photo). The Grunbaum Furniture Company was a major furniture company in early 20th Century Seattle. Obama's maternal grandfather worked at a furniture company in Seattle while the family lived on Mercer Island in the 50's. I wonder if this was the store?
