We have a stunning Primitive Plantation Secretary desk from the ladder part of the 1800's. I believe some of the wood is red oak, possibly most of it is. The desk has an amazing built in inkwell that I have never come across before.
Has original key and locks. Drawers and doors are smooth opening and shutting. Overall the desk is solid and usable or displayable. A piece of the trim is from the door is missing as pictured. The desk table-top wood sections are loose.
Someone through the years attempted repairs etc. The desk has various wear many places that deem this a rustic survivor not a museum piece. Enjoy as is or have someone tighten it up with gentle repairs for perfect stability. 56 inches tall, 41.5 wide. Located 25 minutes North of Scranton Pa.
