Antique American Planter's Desk. Desk: 60" W × 30" T x 30 D. Hutch: 60" W x 36" T x 12 D. A lovely and unique piece from the estate of a Lawyer in Houston, TX. Used in his practice downtown and then in his own home office. Well-loved piece of furniture, with some bumps and bruises consistent with age and use.

Please see all photos as they are part of the item description. I have searched this piece for any makers marks but find none. There are several interesting latches inside the hutch piece to keep the bi-fold doors closed or partially opened, depending on the look you like. There is a lock on the hutch, I do not have the key.

It is fully operable without. The drawers all feature dovetail construction. The desk piece slides out an additional 5 and the center piece is hinged and has a mechanism to prop it up, adjustable to 4 positions.

For added comfort when writing, drawing or using your laptop. This is a very cool and useful piece of furniture for the home office as you can put away all of your "desktop" stuff in the hutch and close the doors at the end of the work day.
