Beautifully made antique secretary style spinet piano desk. These interesting pieces of furniture came about in the early 20th century when the wires of early 19th century spinet pianos and harpsichords started to wear out. Their frames were gutted and re-purposed into beautiful writing desks. Made from walnut wood that seems to have been stained with a cherry finish at some point. Only a few dings, a couple scratches, and some other quirks that come from over 100 years.
Legs come off easily for moving. Original cast iron hardware says 1919. Legs are attached using an interesting contraption that looks like it could be in a modern piece, this one is much more durable.
