Antique Writing Desk Victorian Wood Travel. 12" x 9" x 3.58. A piece of wood(matches desk)on the inside is written: Philippine Island, Peterborough, 1898.

There is also a tin picture, the original owner. The velvet on the inside is in rough shape(see pics). Has all the original compartment slides. The bottom's paper/ leather is in rough shape. The box, wood is in good condition, minor scratches.

It also looks like where the key went, possibly there was a metal piece there at one time. It does not take anything away from this piece thought. It was taken care of but age has deteriorated it in places that were vulnerable, ie; velvet & bottom. This was an estate item, unfortunately, the younger heirs have no interest in history & ancestry. I find that so unfortunate.
