Early 1900's Vintage Drop Front Antique Secretary Desk. The secretary desk has a wonderful folding writing section. It has decorated elements of classical style and fine artistry with nice wood and craftsmanship. A lovely cabinet that would accent any prominent home. The details on this dainty Ladie's Desk is lovely. Unique (locking w/ key) drop down top door serving as its desk top, in turn revealing desk area.

Decorative handles on each side of box for moving purposes. The hidden desk compartment consists of storage slots and four petite horizontal drawers and multiple cubbies, decorative drawer fronts with a beautiful finish.

All supported by ornate stylish and sturdy legs with decorative cross support. When the panel is up, it conceals a network of small doors, cubbies, shelves for storing writing implements and paper. Size: 49" x 35" x 30"deep when opened 18" when closed. Condition: Shows minimal use wear, markings, possibly some light wear and distressing.

It does not impair integrity. Any antique over 100 years old will have some type of slight or minor imperfections or marks of character... And these time-acquired features often intrigue collectors to ponder about how the piece must have been used and by whom. Such marks of use and character I think, add to the authenticity, charm, and desirability of the piece.
