Beautiful Governor Winthrop style one-piece secretary. This piece was made in America by Colonial Manufacturing Co. It is built of solid mahogany and is stamped with this verification. The secretary features a keyed bookcase and desk, that both lock. When opened to a desk, there is a clear writing surface, or space for a laptop.

The desk is further organized with a number of slots and 4 small drawers for storage. The top portion of the secretary is decorative and functional, featuring detailed wood carving on the glass front, and 3 bookshelves. There are three good sized drawers of graduated size with original brass hardware.

Additional decorative features include a graceful rounded pediment and detailed molding at the the crown and the base. Measurements are as follow: H:6'1/2", D: 17", W: 321/2", desk when open is 12" deep, drawers are graduated in depth as 5", 7', and 8". Width of drawers is 291/2.
