A Chippendale style secretary desk. Solid cherry with brass hardware, crown moulding to top and ogee bracket feet. Upper blind bookcase has two doors with faux keyhole escutcheons that reveal two fixed plate grooved wood shelves. Lower desk has two manual pull out desk top supports and four drawers of dovetail construction with faux keyhole escutcheons. Slant front lockable drop down desk surface reveals four small drawers, six open cubbies, two pull out compartments and a center compartment with lockable wood door that reveals three small cubbies & two small dovetail drawers.
Likely made in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, in the mid 20th Century. Measures: Overall: 40.5w 22.5d 78.75h, Desk Open: 37d, Knee Clearance: 30.5h. Excellent condition with signs of light use.
