Period Boston Chippendale Antique 18th Century Mahogany Bookcase Secretary Desk. A Chippendale mahogany secretary desk having a dental carved glass paned bookcase top over a slant-lid desk case with four graduated drawers on straight bracket feet. 77-1/4in tall x 38-1/2in wide x 19-1/2in deep. Characteristic Carved central drop in the skirt, fan carved prospect door, nicely appointed interior, hand dovetailed mahogany drawers with tulip poplar secondary wood, all relating to the Boston area. Typical Boston type ogee bracket base.

Nice proportions and nice smaller size. Solid repaired crack in one of the bookcase doors.
