Rare Mengel Furniture Secretary Desk (Mid Century Modern). It does need a bit of light restoration. There's chipping on the edges of the veneer (see photos).

The fold out door does close, but sticks out slightly (see photo). I feel that it should be more flush, perhaps some tweaking of the hinges would solve this. I do make occasional trips to the west side of Washington (Tacoma/Seattle), and could bring with me. It is very, very heavy. Solid and will last many lifetimes. About 17" deep, 49" tall, 35 1/2 wide.
