Mahogany, serpentine-front Governor Winthrop style, ball-and-claw feet, curved-wood and finial top. In response to a question - the color is like the first picture - more brown than red. In overall great condition, Scratches but not significant.

Upper cabinet shelves are grooved for plate display. The desk has five small drawers, six letter slots and a little doored cubby with two tall narrow (secret) drawers. 83 to top of finial, 35 wide! 17 1/2" wide at feet 79" to top of crest.
