Sheraton Antique Mahogany 1830s Butler Secretary Desk & Dresser #43547. A Sheraton period secretary & dresser was also commonly called a "butler" desk, used with a stool for a butler to manage a large manor staff and estate accounting. Restored finish in excellent condition, preserving mars, losses, & shrinkage separations from age - see photos. Interior cubbies have original brass pulls. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. "Secret" desk looks like a chest when closed.
