A Charlestown secretary desk in the Chippendale style by Statton, from their Centennial Collection. Solid cherry with brass hardware, crown & dentil moulding to top and ogee bracket feet.
Features upper lighted cabinet with two six-pane glass doors revealing two fixed wood encased plate grooved glass shelves and is lockable. Lower desk is slant front with two manual pull out desk top supports, drop down desk surface that reveals eight cubbies, four small drawers and a lockable center compartment, over four large lower drawers of dovetail construction with faux lockplates. Made in Hagerstown, Maryland, USA, circa 1986. Measures: 41w 22d 81.75h, Desk Open: 35d, Knee Clearance: 28h. Very good vintage condition with signs of use.
