This is a gorgeous Mahogany Victorian Rococo Secretary Desk, circa 1870, it is not marked but is attributed to Mitchell and Rammelsberg, Cincinnati, OH. It is in very fine original condition, structure is great, finish has been cleaned and top coated with gel varnish. This is a blind door secretary, (original) does not have glass doors as most that you see do, The locks do not work, magnetic catches have been installed for ease in opening, and knobs have been installed on the drop lid and the doors.

It has three adjustable shelves, the outside backing is maple. There are three drawers with handsome carved pulls. New felt has been added to the writing surface, refer to photo..

None of the locks work on the drawers. As noted before this is a TALL secretary measuring 106-1/2" tall, the final crown can be removed if so desired making total height of 101" tall.

It measures 44.5" wide x 20" deep. This is a very impressive piece of furniture, sure to get admiration wherever it is placed in your home.
