TOMLINSON Crotch Mahogany Block Front Secretary Desk with Blind Bookcase

  

A Chippendale style secretrary desk by Tomlinson. Crotch mahogany with brass hardware, pediment top with three finials and bracket feet.

Upper blind bookcase has two lockable doors that reveal two adjustable wood shelves and two pull out candle slides at bottom. Lower desk is block front with automatic desk top supports and four drawers of dovetail construction with faux keyhole escutcheons.

Slant front lockable drop down desk surface reveals six small drawers, four open cubbies and a center compartment with lockable wood door. Made in North Carolina, USA, in the late 20th Century. Measures: Overall: 38w 20d 93h, Desk Open: 32.5d, Knee Clearance: 29h. Excellent condition with signs of light use. Doors, drawers, slant desk top and desk top supports function properly.
