Victorian Slant Front Secretary Desk with Bookcase Top, circa 1860s
This lovely oak Victorian Secretary, circa 1860s, displays beautiful carvings below the crest, at the tops of the glass doors and on the drawers and handles. Original glass doors open to reveal 4 shelves, 3 of which are adjustable. Two small drawers sit atop a slant front desk that opens to display 2 small wooden compartments (possibly for ink and quill). Three large drawers offer plentiful storage. The secretary is in excellent condition for its age, with a few slight imperfections inherent to most antique furniture.
The original wheels are included for ease of transport, but no keys are available for the locks. Top section (glass shelved case) measurements. Bottom section (fold out desk and drawers) measurements. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
