This is an outstanding mahogany breakfront secretary/china cabinet/desk/bookcase by Maddox of Jamestown, NY. 80" H x 32" W x 18 D(top) 29' D(base).

This Colonial Revival Governor Winthrop style secretary has refined lines and exceptional workmanship. The top is a glass door bookcase/china cabinet with a well-proportioned pediment and finial. Slant front opens to fully fitted interior. Fan carved center drawer with additional drawers and open compartments. Three large drawer feature serpentine (or "ox bow") front; ball and claw front and back feet. As you will no doubt be aware by your interest in this rare beauty, Maddox pieces are the epitome of high-end American furniture making, are of peerless quality, and exhibit detailing and execution of an unrivaled standard.
