Vintage Mahogany Serpentine Front Governor Winthrop Desk Secretary Desk. Vintage Chippendale style Solid Mahogany Serpentine Front Governor Winthrop Desk. The slant-front drop down desk surface has sliding desk supports and opens to reveal a single door cabinet with incised, flanked by open cubbies over a row of four small inset drawers. The well outfitted interior compartments also have hidden compartments, two cleverly disguised compartments behind the center posts. The 4 dovetailed drawers feature serpentine fronts and pierced brass backplates to bail pull hardware.

It is raised on traditional low cabriole legs with ball-and-claw feet. Measures: 36" W x 21" D x 42 H. Wear to toes of feet, missing key plate on slant front.
