Vintage Mahogany Student Desk by Hungerford Memphis circa 1960's

  

4 drawer Student Desk was manufactured by the Hungerford Memphis Furniture Company in Memphis Tennessee in the 1960's. It features a solid mahogany construction, original hardware and solid wood drawers. Drawers have dovetail construction and a wooden slide will ensure smooth operation. The mahogany is a beautiful selection, and with the aged brass hardware give this piece a rich and classic look.

It is in generally very good condition with some minor scratches, general wear. Desk dimensions: 40"W x 18"D x 30H.

Just a side note, Hungerford Memphis was a furniture company out of Memphis Tennessee and had an ad campaign featuring Elvis Presley. Even though Elvis was hired to do an official Photoshoot for Hungerford on December 12 1957, the campaign never emerged. This item is in the category "Antiques\Furniture\Desks & Secretaries".
