We very pleased to have the opportunity to present, for your consideration, this lovely solid Walnut Victorian Slant Front Secretary Desk with Burl Accents (Circa: 1880). This handsome Victorian Secretary weighs approximately 90 pounds and measures 79" in total height, 34" in total width, and 18 in total depth. This Secretary can be disassembled into 3 pieces for transport.

The measurements of the individual pieces are as follows. Top Section with glass doors - 30 ½" in height, 34" in width and 12 in depth.

Middle Slant Front Desk Section - 19 ½" in height, 30" in width and 16 in depth. Bottom Section with Drawers - 30" in height, 32" in width and 18 in depth. 2 fixed shelves are 28" wide and 7 ¾" in depth. One shelf has been replaced.

Glass is wavy and appears to be original. Some of the pull handles have been replaced. The handsome bookcase top is adorned with crown moulding and measures 30 ½" in height and 34" in width, has wavy glass doors with picture frame moulding that appears to be original and has two removable shelves. The left door has finger locks and the right door has a wooden key escutcheon along with an intact non-working lock. The bookcase top sits on a beautiful slant-front base middle section which measures 19 ½" in height, 30" in width and 16 in depth.

This beautiful slant-front base door is adorned with a center raised rectilinear burl panel, has an intact lock with a working key, and opens to reveal a lovely interior compartment. The lovely interior compartment has two small drawers with wooden pulls, ten storage slots and a cognac colored faux leather writing surface. This slant-front desk middle section is adorned with fluting down the sides and sits upon a bottom section containing four roomy dovetailed drawers. These four roomy dovetailed drawers are adorned with rectilinear raised burl panels, brass pulls, and wooden key escutcheons. Each drawer has an intact working lock and a working tasseled key is included.

Finally, shaped top sconces and fluting details are found on the front sides this beautiful bottom section and a geometric bottom front apron completes it.
